#69 The Book of Mormon for LDS Families 2 Nephi 25:26 - Nov 12,2012

I love the scriptures!!! Nephi sees the workings of his posterity through the time of Christ, over 500 years into the future. He seeks to prepare them for that time and the fulfilling of the law of Moses and advises them to be prepared for that and to not turn from Christ and the atonement and redemption that he offers them. The anguish of seeing them lose their lives was horrific for Nephi yet he acknowledges that he must testify that God is just. His example helps us to put our relationship with God foremost and while we want to do everything we can to warn others and be good examples of following Christ we must accept Gods will and know that he will make all things right according to the hearts of the children of men. He does bear witness to the fact that many will be proud and turn from the truth. He also witnesses that those who seek to do the right will be preserved. There are consequences for both choices. Nephi makes it clear, though, that the choice is ours.
