Puerto Rican/Italian heritage, JoLike the depths of his rich Puerto Rican/Italian heritage, Joey B, born Joseph Alameda brings to his first love of music passion, raw emotion and just the right amount of genuine sensitivity needed for Pop culture. With the natural gifts of word and song, Joey “Baby” as friends and family affectionately call him, has been singing all his life. While in his teens, he got his start in the rap game when by chance he was asked to fill-in vocally on a project. In that moment, it seemed as if his voice was instantly married to the smoother side of musical expression. However, it was at the age of 21 when he gave his relationship with music a second and serious listen. Sharing home roots of Brooklyn, New York with such iconic musical talents as rappers Jay-Z and The Notorious B.I.G., R&B crooner Maxwell, and even famed poet Walt Whitman, there is no wonder that this prolific singer/songwriter has much inspiration to draw from.
