We are including a special broadcast as we close out this April broadcasting for Child Abuse Prevention Month. It is a great pleasure to welcome Advocate/Musician/Founder of Healing Through Creativity, Mr. George Allen Robertson. Mr. Robertson believes music provides a window right into the heart. One would definitely have to agree as you listen to a few songs from his new CD, "Half A Mile High". Many say his guitar and talented vocals are kin to that of Roy Orbison. I believe youll find his variety of style with some really slick guitar riffs. Not only is George Allen Robertson an amazing musician, he is also the leader in Healing Through Creativity event held in Bramwell, WV and is returning again for the 8th annual event in 2013. The belief is all survivors of trauma, be it physical or psychological, need to have a release for those emotions. In connecting with what is felt, but perhaps cannot be spoken, creativity is how we can release those. Trauma leaves its wounds, but it does not have the power over your life. Through healing, support, resources all of us can learn to live again and accept the wounds, so that we can move forward. Join in as we talk with this fabulously talented musician and a leader in the Healing Through Creativity Annual Event to find out what secrets he uses to inspire the songs which connect with so much of our soul. We want to encourage everyone to join in as you might find a way to heal the wounds of your own tragedy as you open up the window to your heart. As always we hope you share and encourage others. Our phones and chat room will be open for your shares!!! Life is a journey, healing is a process, recovery is a new beginning."
