Jim Light Candidate for Redondo Beach Council District 1

Our guest this morning is Jim Light. Jim is running for the District 1 City Council seat for Redondo Beach.He is currently a Vice President at a local aerospace company, President of Building a Better Redondo non-profit group and co-author of Measure A. Jim studied engineering in college and achieved his MBA in government contracts and budget administration.He spent 13.5 years as an Air Force Officer and 17.5 years in the civilian aerospace industry. He went from systems engineer on the Space Shuttle to executive at a variety of aerospace companies.He has been involved in several hot button issues including the fight against Heart of the City and its zoning for 3000 condos, the City's Harbor Visioning process, condo zoning on Torrance Blvd and in 2005 started Building A Better Redondo non-profit to preserve and enhance resident quality of life.
