This is the bill that last year carried the detainee language that caused fear and ire after many freedom loving Americans learned of the provision. Sen. Rand Paul (R-K) leads the charge to protect the 6th Amdt dealing with trials by jury and the right to due process. Also, the Senate working behind the scenes to get ratified a treaty dealing with disabilities which is opposed by the Senate GOP. Former Gov. Romney meeting with the President at the WH tomorrow causing fear that he might get involved in the Fiscal cliff negotiations. Speaker Boehner has asked Cong. Ryan to get involved in the process. Romney to meet with his former running mate after WH meeting, which has caused this speculation about the Gov. working.
